Luminous Care Services is an assisted living residence at 1017 48th Street NE in Washington, DC. Our care home is more than just a place to provide care and assistance with daily activities. It is a vibrant community in which everyone feels like an integral part of the family, and where our team focuses on you as an individual, getting to know you and making a real difference.
How we started
Founded in June 2022, Luminous Care Services addresses the growing demand for high-quality care for older adults and residents of the District who need assistance. The company was incorporated in the District of Columbia on 17 June 2022, and the residence opened in 2025. One facility is in operation today, with plans to expand.
How we care
Our goal is to help your loved ones with the activities of daily living so they can stay independent and hold on to their quality of life in a facility setting. A home-like environment supports quicker recovery, and people cared for in one tend to do better than those in a traditional nursing home. Our residence at 1017 48th Street NE provides 24-hour care.
Nursing Care
Clinical oversight and daily support from qualified staff, on site 24 hours a day.
Dementia Care
Specialist care that reduces the impact of dementia while keeping comfort and routine intact.
Respite Care
Short stays for people who need a break from their routine, or a gentle introduction to care home life.
Convalescence Care
Recovery support after a hospital stay, with the goal of getting strength and confidence back.
End-of-Life Care
Palliative support for residents with a terminal illness, and for the families walking beside them.
